I need to tell her something,
It won’t go down too well,
She loves me but I can’t return,
How can she not tell?
My plan is too ignore her,
Just push her out of my mind,
But the guilt is taking over,
For no reason I can find.
I think I’ll just approach her,
Tell her I have had enough,
Making excuses all the time,
Is becoming kind of tough.
Why is life so difficult?
There’s so many tolls to pay,
I push these thoughts out of my mind,
Then take a breath and say:
“There’s nothing you can do,
The time has come at last,
I’d like to just forget you,
And leave you in the past.”
